Download Guide

The downloads section of a Checkstyle Addons release contains quite a number of files. GitHub does not support setting descriptions for them, so we put the descriptions here. The most important factor is the Checkstyle version that you use:

Checkstyle ≥ 8.21
Checkstyle 7.0 - 8.20
Checkstyle 6.16.1 - 6.19

Checkstyle 8.21 and up (at least Java 8)

checkstyle-addons-6.0.1-all.jar — A fatjar containing Checkstyle Addons including all its dependencies; useful for IntelliJ IDEA, Android Studio, Ant, and command line.
checkstyle-addons-6.0.1.jar — Just Checkstyle Addons, excluding external dependencies. Normally, this file is pulled via Maven Central, so you don’t need to download it here.
checkstyle-addons-6.0.1-javadoc.jar — The Javadoc in Java 8 format.
checkstyle-addons-eclipse-6.0.1.jar — The Checkstyle Addons plugin for Eclipse (requires Eclipse-CS 8.21.0 or newer).
sonar-checkstyleaddons-6.0.1.jar — The SonarQube plugin (requires SonarQube Checkstyle Plugin 4.21 or newer - download).

Checkstyle 7.0 - 8.20 (also at least Java 8)

checkstyle-addons-java8a-6.0.1-all.jar — A fatjar containing Checkstyle Addons including all its dependencies; useful for IntelliJ IDEA, Android Studio, Ant, and command line.
checkstyle-addons-java8a-6.0.1.jar — Just Checkstyle Addons, excluding external dependencies. Normally, this file is pulled via Maven Central, so you don’t need to download it here.
